In working with our equine friends, I use a form of bodywork known as "Equine Touch." As a registered practitioner with many years of experience, I am dedicated to providing this specialized therapy. The practice, described by the society as "a gift to your horse," involves gentle, non-invasive moves that target the fascia, meridians, and connective tissues.
Equine Touch offers holistic benefits, addressing various aspects of your horse’s well-being. Rather than applying a rigid method, we are trained to "listen to the horse," allowing their feedback to guide the session and work at a deeper level. This approach fosters a profound healing experience and strengthens the bond between you and your horse.
My own experience of the practice was formed, when helping out at the Mane Chance Animal Sanctuary. One of the lovely grooms there, was using Equine Touch to help orchestrate a level of healing communication, with one of the ponies in the herd. This resonated with me in such a profound way, as I had been studying the effects of energy healing in a personal capacity, for many years. I was delighted to see the effects of the process and how easily the horse seemed to relax and allow itself to submerge into the process. It was awe inspiring experience, that lead me to find out more.
Equine Touch works on multiple levels by addressing the fascia and myofascial chains, which are essential communication systems within the body. Developed over 25 years ago by Jock Ruddock, a Bowen practitioner, and his wife, an accomplished equine vet, this method is widely practiced and appreciated around the world. It is also available for study if you are interested in learning the modality yourself.
The practice involves a series of moves designed to target the fascia, meridians, and connective tissues. This multi-dimensional approach helps address physical, physiological, emotional, and behavioral issues. Sessions are typically booked in sets of three and can be conducted on a one-to-one basis at your own venue or yard.
The sessions are normally booked in blocks of three or six sessions. To be able to help get to know your equine friend I am able to provide an initial session free of charge. I will use this to get to know a little bit more about them within their natural environment. Once undertaken, I can then book in a series of three or six further sessions to enable us to work on the issues at hand.
The sessions will take place on site, within the client’s premises; situated within London or the surrounding counties.
